S.O.S
Doula's offers, knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated Doulas, who will
provide support for you, your newborn, and family, from third trimester
through postpartum.
Our Doulas
Each
Doula is certified or working towards certification, which includes
training, evaluations, hands on experience, keeping informed with birth
and postpartum products, and related medical research.
Each Doula is certified as a Breastfeeding Counselor.
A number of our Doulas provide both birth and postpartum care.
Your Birth Doula is available to: Support you as you labor
at home or meet you at your birth venue.
Birth Doula service may include :
- Attending
two prenatal visits
- Assisting
you in preparing a birth plan
- Being
on call 24hr a day, 2 (two) weeks before and (2 weeks) after your
due date
- Providing
unlimited Phone & email support before and after birth
- Providing
uninterrupted emotional, educational and physical support during
labor
- Providing
support items useful during labor
- Staying
with Mom if birth partner leaves the room
- Providing
immediate breastfeeding support
- Attending
one postpartum visit
Your Postpartum Doula is available for:
Day, night, or 24 hour care.
Postpartum Doula service may include :
- Assisting
with nursery set up
- Shopping
for items if needed
- Meeting
you soon after you are home with your baby
- Providing
breastfeeding support
- Modeling
and answering baby care questions
- Providing
baby care while Mother recovers and rests
- Modeling
calming, swaddling and comfort techniques
- Doing babies laundry
- Preparing
light meals
- Running
newborn related errands
- Assisting
with sibling care
- Providing
referrals to specialists as needed
- Making
it possible for both parents to enjoy baby together or get a nap
The cost of a Doula ranges
from:
Postpartum Doula
$20-$50* per hour
Birth Doula $300 - $1400** Per Birth
*Fees based on day or night shift, experience, training, healthy or high need multiples.
**Fees based on experience, training and number of births Doula has attended.
